22-Safety-Precautions-for-Carton-Production-Factories

I. Pre-Production Safety Guidelines

1. Wear Proper Attire: Operators must wear fitted work uniforms (tucked in at waist and sleeves) and safety shoes. Loose clothing like lab coats can get caught in rotating machine parts, leading to injuries.
2. Check Equipment: Inspect machines for oil leaks or electrical faults before starting them to eliminate hazards.
3. Clear Machine Tops: Never place items on top of machines to avoid objects falling into machinery and causing damage or injuries.
4. Store Tools Safely: Return adjustment wrenches and tools to toolboxes after use to prevent them from dropping into machines.
5. No Liquids Near Electricals: Never place drinks, water, or oil on electrical cabinets or devices to prevent short circuits.

II. Safety During Production

6. Use Caution with Printing Presses: Do not start the main machine when installing, adjusting, or cleaning printing plates. Use the foot-operated phase switch to rotate rollers slowly.
7. Avoid Moving Parts: Never touch rotating parts or belts while machines are running. Stop the machine first.
8. Check Before Closing Machines: Ensure no one is inside the printing press before closing it.
9. Activate Emergency Stops: Pull safety cords or press emergency stop buttons immediately if abnormalities occur.
10. Cover Exposed Gears: Shield exposed transmission gears to prevent accidents.
11. Handle Blades Carefully: Avoid touching sharp edges when installing slotting or die-cutting blades.
12. Keep Distance from Machines: Maintain a safe distance from operating machinery to avoid entanglement.
13. Stay Clear of Stackers: Do not enter the stacker area while it’s running to avoid falling materials.
14. Keep Hands Away from Rollers: Keep hands at a safe distance from rollers when cleaning printing plates.
15. Stop for Paper Jams: Turn off the machine to fix skewed paper instead of pulling it manually.
16. Avoid Nail Guns: Keep hands away from nail heads when manually stapling to prevent injuries.
17. Stay Out of Balers: Never place hands or head inside balers while they’re operating. Power off first for adjustments.
18. Power Off for Adjustments: Shut down manual die-cutting machines completely before making adjustments.

III. Post-Production Safety Guidelines

19. Stack Products Neatly: Ensure stacks are stable, with no tilting or risk of collapse.
20. Limit Stacking Height: Do not stack products higher than 2 meters to prevent falls.
21. Clean Workspaces: Remove packaging straps and debris from floors to avoid tripping.
22. Secure Elevators: Lower elevators to the base floor and close doors after use.

Safety is a priority—never compromise!
